Lyme Regis gig club 100 club

The 100 club started in 2010 with two aims-:
To contribute to club funds and provide mild excitement for participants!
Half the funds go to the Gig Club and half to monthly prize draws. So the more of you who join, the more worthwhile it is.

To join in will cost you £3.00 per ticket (£36.00 annually) and prizes are, currently;
1st prize £30.00
2nd prize £15.00

Saturday 16th March

Helford Mini Scillies Race

A 1.8 mile race in choppy seas and squally rain storms, competeing against 20 of Cornwall's best gig clubs.
Men's B team.

Men's A team
Photo's by Gavin Saunders.

The racing was hard against the tide and the weather, with a cold South Westerly blowing up to 20 knots, and intermittent hailstorms.
Lyme Regis Gig Club fielded a Ladies Vets team, rowing "Tempest, who came 12th."
Two men's vets teams with B team, rowing "Black Ven" 10th, and A team rowing " Tempest"  and excellent 4th.
In the final race of the day the Lyme Men's B team came in 17th, rowing "Black Ven" and the A team rowing "Tempest" coming a very creditable 8th.
Great results against such excellent competition and harsh conditions.
